Leek United’s Cash ISA is a tax-free savings account, which means interest payable is exempt from UK income tax. The variable interest rate is 0.50% AER. You can save from £10 up to £20,000 in tax year 2020/2021. There is easy access to your savings. Transfers from other providers accepted. This product is open to all UK residents over the age of 16 years.
1 Year Fixed Rate, Fixed Term Cash ISA
As well as variable Cash ISAs, Leek United also have a 1 Year Fixed Rate, Fixed Term Cash ISA. This is also a tax-free savings account. However the interest rate is fixed until the ISA maturity date, at a rate is 0.45% AER. The account must be opened with a minimum deposit of at least £1,000. Withdrawal of funds will only be permitted in exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of the Society.
2 Year Fixed Rate, Fixed Term Cash ISA
Similar to the above, this Cash ISA has a fixed interest rate of 2 years and a better interest rate of 0.55% AER.
Junior Cash ISA
Leek United’s Junior Cash ISA is designed to help provide a helping hand for children when they reach the age of 18. You can save from £10 up to £9,000, tax-free. It has a favourable variable rate of interest of 1.75% AER. Withdrawals and closure are not allowed until the named child reaches 18 or in the case of terminal illness or death. Transfers from Child Trust Funds accepted. This account is open to all UK residents up to the age of 18 years.
